Is Andruw Jones a Hall of Famer?

Before you sneer and think "Oh no way!" look at his numbers:

He's had a 7 WAR five times, and 5 WAR nine times. He could be considered borderline to most because of his regression once he went to LA. He will go down in history as one of the greatest center fielders of all time though, Hall of Famer or not.

It honestly all depends on the person I think since he's got 10 GG's, 430 HRs and 1200 RBI but he barely hit .250 for his career.

Personally, I don't think he is because there needs to be a cutoff at some point since there are so many productive major leaguers who shouldn't be enshrined just because they put up decent numbers. For me, I don't think he belongs in the HOF.

I say yes. He played great defense, was on good teams, and had good numbers

I'm on my phone so I can't do any in-depth research, but the dude has a career .352 wOBA and was an excellent and from 1998-2006 he was a borderline excellent hitter based on that with a .365 wOBA. BA isn't going to tell you the whole story, it's a very empty stat.

Sorry dude. It's a fine question.

He's borderline on the numbers, in on the "10 year peak thing", but when they took the juice away from him he died. A total of 1.1 rWAR his last 5 years starting at age 31? That's crap and it throws red flags all over the place.

If he was in this years class I wouldn't even think about him twice this year - no. In a weak year, maybe.

6/27/09: “We expect [Rondo] to play by the rules and be a leader as a point guard. We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

Let's put it this way. If he is a hall of famer, then the HOF means absolutely nothing.

This isn't the hall of good, or the hall of very good. This is the HALL OF FAME!!

Besides, he was on the stuff most of his career.

Very good player. Not quite hall of fame.

If he kept his weight down allowing him to have a few more good seasons I would say he could be borderline.

9th all time in fWAR (for a CF), but his 279.5 Fld strikes me as high

11th all time in rWAR for a CF too though

    I say yes

    Thanks for the Memories Suarez!

I don't know, I just see the voters looking at the player that turned into a 4th outfielder for the second half of his career.

    Welcome to KC, Miss Kacie!
