This doesn't involve the Braves, but still worthy of a post:
rotoworldDelmon Young will be paid bonuses if he keeps his weight in check throughout the 2013 season.
Young will be weighed six different times and can earn a $100,000 payout for each weigh-in. "I've been on a strict diet," the new Phillies outfielder said Wednesday. "You can get carried away on clubhouse food and late night room service. Some ice cream and good luck cakes. But when you go back to the outfield, you have got to eat lighter."
Good luck with that...
DeLOLmon Young as a Tigers fan friend calls him!
Good luck cakes?

He will be a fat failure.
rotoworldJon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports that the Orioles have signed Jair Jurrjens to a one-year, $1.5 million contract.
The total value could be pushed up to $4 million if Jurrjens reaches all of his incentives. The right-hander is coming off a brutal 6.89 ERA and 1.86 WHIP across 48 1/3 innings in 2012, as he hasn't been the same pitcher over the last year and a half due to a nagging knee injury. If Jurrjens can remain healthy, though, he could wind up being a nice back-end starter for the O's.
Hope it works out for him.
I'm not overly surprised though, he nearly started the All-Star game a couple years ago. If he gets healthy he could be a solid back of the rotation guy.
I wish him luck!
Man, some great sigs! Up, Up, and J-Hey is clever. Love the "Upton Here" sign!
