The get into playoff thread

Ok so I have no idea what needs to happen for us to get in the playoffs, I'm sure someone does.. Lets discuss and track it all..

Please no fighting or starting drama..

From what I am getting from the playoff machine:

1) Giants need to win
2) Washington needs to win
3) Detroit needs to beat Chicago
4) Packers need to beat Minnesota (packers are pretty much guaranteed the 3rd seed win or lose)

So the Giants do still have a shot but its a long one. A very disappointing season considering we had a three game division lead at one point.

What if SF loses tonight? Does that give GB a shot at the 2 spot and something to play for?

2nd option:

3) Seattle needs to lose vs 49ers AND Rams- not looking good so far...

Packers fan here, and you're correct. If we win, we get a bye. So, we have something to play for and should be playing our starters.

Yep, GB now has something to play for in terms of a bye.

However, all those match ups are tough.

Again, it just sucks to see that this team basically quit down the stretch.

But are all possible, I can definitely see GB beating Minny and Washington beating Dallas.. The tricky one is Det beating Chi BUT Forte might be out and Bush is already on the IR and not for nothing but Det certainly has the talent to do it..

But honestly I don't even think we beat Philly..

The saddest part about all of this is that the ONE game we can control, I have the least amount of faith in:

Skins over Cowboys? I'd say likely.
Packers over Vikings? Rodgers is on fire and they want that bye, so likely.
Lions over Bears? Really iffy, but not out of the question. Bears have struggled against good teams. Detroit is close enough to a good team.

But Giants over Eagles? Ugh.

I wouldn't dismiss the Vikings thatt easily, They have beat the 49ers,Bears and the Texans 3 of the best defensvie teams, among other things Adrian Peterson has been having a beast of a season and the game is in Minnesota .I wouldn't count them out I see them winning that game

Can't believe we go from 6-2 defending Super Bowl champs, to not even making the damn playoffs. I'm always the first to defend the Gmen, but these last 2 weeks were pathetic. And they don't even control their way into the playoffs? Not only are we not making the playoffs, but we don't even deserve to be in. What a waste of a season

Washington beating Dallas
GB beating Minnesota
but I think Chicago will be our Achilles heal, lets face it Detroit has played the past couple weeks just to get Johnsons record, and why not rack the extra receiving yards up regardless, so he can hold the record for the next ten years plus. We screwed ourselves this season lads and lasses.
