Could the Phillies be preparing to lure Josh Hamilton?

The Phillies traded two high-priced outfielders in what many called a house cleaning. Could those moves have been done to make finiancial room for Josh Hamilton and his pending free agency? His bat in the lineup to protect Ryan Howard and fill a hole in the outfield would look pretty good to Phillies fans. He will likely cost $25-30 million, but they freed up over $20 million by trading Pence and Victorino and will lose Polanco's $6 million as well (and could still trade Utley and his $12 million). Something to think about...

Also lol at trading Utley. Because having Galvis play 2b or 3B all year is a grand idea. OF is easier to fill via FA or internally. 3B should be the major concern.

Paps/Howard/Lee are all bad deals.. I love Hamilton at 3-4 years but he will get like 200 million and to hell with that... **** out of here...PASS.

Edit-Lee is not a bad deal but that is a ton for a guy his age even at the discount he gave us. Its an ok deal but with how much we have tied up in about 5 guys we need to spread the money around instead of trying for all stars at every position.

God I hope so. This guys is not as injury prone as everyone thinks. For the past 3 years he has spent very little time on the disabled list. He is a top 5 hitter in the league. He's consistent. He'd wouldn't be able to play CF for much longer and thats fine we can thow in in RF for now and when he loses his range toss him over to LF if he turns into to much of a statue in 4 or 5 years he can DH.
