I actually am not sure if I realized that or not.

I had hoped the reason the Ibanez signing hasn't been announced was becuase the team was working on a trade to make improvements/make room on the roster.

But instead, it looks like the team is just trying to be nice to whoever it is they are about to designate for assignment or whatever.

Who do you guys think is gone? Pegurero? Carp?

One of the corners is about to be weak. Either Raul/Casper platoon, or Casper has to go struggle against righties again, with Raul getting a few games here an there.

I liked the Kendrys move, but it really should have been added on to. We needed 2 bats, but OF should have come first since 1st/DH has a little more upside IMO.

Raul is probably going to be a bench player rather than a platoon player.

Then that means Casper has to go out and hit .195/.244/.286 against righties. It will be tough to do much more addition now. Only have 13-14 spots for position players, so it would be tough to be able to carry a platoon for him with all the 1B/DH's we have

I think they might be ready to fully give Wells a shot at every day duties. I don't know if I agree with it but I'd rather give him a full time shot than stick Ibañez out there.

I'll leave when I'm good and ready

Me too, I just dont know how great of an idea it is.

I have a feeling we will be pretty similar to last year. And I get the feeling Morales wont re sign with us, so in essence we didnt do much of anything this year.

Wells better start over Ibanez. he is a + defender and has one of the best OF arms. Ibanez sucks major *** in the outfield and cannot throw. But we already know this, hopefully Eric Wedge knows whats up.

Ibanez off the bench to PH would be nice.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with it, but I'm just saying Ibanez was brought in to be a bench player.

I would actually love to give Wells a chance. He's so similar to Cody Ross, it's scary. Dave Cameron posted something on it.

At least Raul came decently cheap.
John Schneider: Hey Pete who should we grab in the 3rd round?
Pete Carrol: I don't know John, what do you think Darkwing?
    Darkwing Duck: Let's get DangeRuss!

Wells has a slightly higher K rate, but also a higher ISO. Easily a better defender and just barely better at baserunning.

So basically we have Ross for dirt cheap.
