Aside from May, the lowest OBP Swisher had in any other month was .355

It was .390 or more in three months and it was .367 for one month.

Further, as the season went on and we needed production, his walk rates continually increased from June onward.

He did have value, unquestionably...and we all know I'm not a huge fan myself.

But batting average? Come on man.

    No one said that.

Point is, at least bring more of an argument then a varying batting average to the plate.

Sure, if people bring more than his obp.

He's awful in the field. He's awful at situational hitting.

Two things that don't show in stats but the eyes see daily.

    Hence.....buh bye.

What good is a guy who gets on base and runs like hippo?

This is not Gardner who can steal bases. If Gardner had Swisher's OBP, he would be an all star year in and year out. If Swisher's OBP was so great, why wasn't he an all star? Oh that's right, hippo.

Point is this, sure Swisher gets on base, but it doesn't amount to anything. Why? Cause our lineup is constructed one dimensionally. It's the long ball or we lose. It became so bad that every game Yankees didn't hit a home run, it was a automatic loss.

It is difficult to find guys who can strikeout consistently in big situations.

You continue to be repetitive as I showed you why he won't be a hole at all in our lineup.

you showed me a bad october and a season where he had some hot and cold stereak, half of which at least was hot. none of that changes the fact that he was out second best offensive player and anyone we put in his spot will be a downgrade. menaing thats still a hole from last year, since we haven't upgarded anywhere else on the team. losing swisher made up worse

    Itchy > Swisher

Whatever hr and walks we lose, itchy makes up with his glove, arm, legs and never striking out.

Oh, and he's 1/7th the price. Hi.

No, half of which was not hot. You can't be productive on a team when you only show up for half the season. And then for our "second best hitter" to do jack **** in the playoffs, well, that's just absurd.

You're aware that players go through phases throughout the course of a season, yes? Also, that no one showed up for the playoffs set aside Ibanez? Jeter got hurt (not his fault) and Itchy was okay.

I hate Swish too, but you're reaching a bit man.
