It's Eric Wedge. The same guy who often played Miguel Olivo vs. right handers.

I think they bench Jaso before they bench Montero. Jaso should have been DH/C vs all right handers but the Ibañez acquisition really messes that up.

I think he'll pretty bad. Night and day on the road and at home with the Yankees. Difference of .261 on home/road OPS.

Yup. I highly doubt he does well in Seattle.

Do people but realize Safeco is generous to LH pull hitters?

I don't think he'll be great but I think he could be ok. He just doesn't have a position that won't take away from a better option.

Even with Smoak in AAA, that still puts Jaso out of work.

Such a weird move. I think Ibanez will be playing 1B, DH and LF a few times a week. He'll probably get the least ABs out of all the 1B/DH/C types.



How do you know the team needs that? They need good players and he's far from one.

Ian, if Ibanez starts with Jaso on the bench even one time I'm gonna take a bat to that new megascreen.
