He's a former GG winner(granted it was at 3rd) that's just as fast as Nick Swisher. Later in the season it may be the only way to get him more at bats.

He's been a little banged up last few years.....good thought but that would expose him to injury risk
NUNEZ needs to learn how to play OF/RF.....he's fast, has a CANNON for an arm and that would get him into the lineup with much more regularity (spelling ANY of Gardner, Grandy and Ichiro vs lefties)
We have no DH and probably aren't getting one thats all that good. If we get lucky enough to have A-Rod and Youkilis healthy during the same stretch of time he will get plenty of ABs at DH and 3B.
When you have Gardner, Granderson and Ichiro, Youkilis should not be playing 1 inning in the OF.
No way he was aweful for the redsox when he played in the OF
Umm, he won a gold glove at 1st base about 5 years ago and when he was shifted to 3rd base after the Gonzalez trade 3 years ago, that's when his health started to drastically deteriorate with his back issues, lacerated finger & broken toe... etc, etc we seen it all from him in Boston.
Putting Youk in the outfield is absolutely ludicrous. To get the maximum value out of him, play him at 1st base or DH and hope he stays healthy.

This will not happen barring numerous injuries.
Nunez? Seriously? The guy can't throw from anywhere in the infield to first. Put him in the outfield, he's likely to throw it into the upper deck. And he would probably be routinely playing singles into triples
I like the guy, but I don't know, someone needs to fix him

I'd rather him in the RF stands watching the game as a fan.

Since when is Youk as fast as Swisher?
Here's my idea. Youk is pretty good with a glove and has a good arm. Once Arod os back, let's move Youl to catcher. He's smart enough to make the transition.

Youk is only signed to a one year deal. If A-Rod does come back at all this year, he will most certainly be limited to a DH role. Therefore, the issue is not getting Youk at bats, its keeping him healthy.
My guess is that you'll be seeing plenty of Nunez at SS and 3B this year despite his fielding issues.
