beyond that its definitely harder to find a good catcher thats good both offensively and defensively than it is to find a power hitting outfielder...we still need a middle of the order power bat to protect David Wright though

Well, I was just responding to YoungStuna.
And the Mets haven't has any recent luck with outfielding prospects, but there are still a good amount of OF prospects in the farm. We just have had bad luck with some outfielders in the past (i.e. Lastings Milledge, Fernando Martinez).
I wouldn't say that they're so easy to come by that every team has a top tier OF propsect or major leaguer, but they are much easier to come by than catchers.

If it was just Myers VS D'Arnaud, I would have taken Myers. But since it was really a three for one (Buck, Thole, Nickeas are just throw ins),I'm happy over the results. Good catcher, good pitcher, and a good draft pick in the outfielder.
If we were drafting, where would the outfielder fall we got from Toronto.
