Dominique Jones + Roddy > Collison + Fisher

Am I the only one who sees this as obvious? Darren/Fisher always turn it over, shoot dumb shots, play 1 v 5..

While Jones and Roddy are both weapons offensively, move better with the ball, move the ball, score, etc. The only thing the latter have is that Collison is quick but he dribbles HEAD DOWN in transition.. Dojo and Roddy both are great on the break and make better decisions.

am I wrong on this? why does he play Fisher and Collison

They are all below average and turn the ball over way too much. The 3 young ones try and do too much, sometimes it works out, but usually when it matters most it does not. That's why I like Fisher. They all suck though.

Not to mention Jones can get to the line a ton.

Like Carter said though, they are all below average. I still want to see the Mavs go after Calderon this off season.

offseason? hopefully mid season they come up with a new point guard for a package involving one of the PFs and a couple PGs.

I dont know I just like Dominique Jone's demeanor and he actually puts pressure on the defense. But he does try to much and messes up a ton..

I was anti-DoJo for a while, but this season, DoJo has really impressed me. I love how the guy moves and plays. If he could shoot for ****, he seems talented enough he could be an all-star. But I won't keep my hopes up. It baffles me how a guy who led the Big East in scoring the year before he was drafted can't shoot. But he plays like Wright and Sarge and Marion and I love that in a player. I can forgive mistakes if I know the player is trying.

As for why Carlisle plays Fisher? He's mentally handicapped, clearly. There is no logical reason. No stat backs it up, ANYWHERE. NOTHING says Fisher should be playing over any player on the Mavs, let alone most players in the league...from any position. He is awful in every aspect of the game. Carlisle loves veterans to a sickening degree.

Because he requested it, and it was mutual. Apparently he suffered a patellar tendon injury against the 76ers. And he wants to spend time with his family. Chuck Coopersteen said the mavs should be on the horn with sac to see about isiah Thomas.
