    Prime Hakeem>>>Prime Shaq

    PrimeWade>Prime T-Mac

A great closer has to be able to make free throws, as great as Shaq was, that was a huge issue come cruch time.

As great as Hakeem was in his prime, he did not equal to the dominance Shaq displayed when he was at his peak. The man couldn't be stopped by anyone and took over the league for a few seasons during that stretch.

T-Mac and Wade is a closer and more reasonable debate to me.

Hakeem is the greatest all around Center of all time. Shaq would be hopeless in an uptempo situation, and was hopeless down the stretch in close games. He also quit playing D after he was about 6 years into this career.

Eh, seems like everyone's default argument. Hakeem was great but wasn't nearly as dominant as guys like Shaq or Duncan. People always mischaracterize passed retired players. Again give me shaq or Duncan over hakeem. That should be no knock on hakeem though as both Shaq and Duncan are two of the 10 greatest players ever.

    Prime Wade vs. Prime T-Mac.
    Favourite Teams:

    Boston Red Sox: 27-17
Indianapolis Colts: Decent draft, no new wide reciever though.
Detroit Pistons: Looking forward to the draft and whoever the new coach will be
Ottawa Senators: Down 2 to 1 to Pittsburgh, Game 4 on Wednesday Night, Game 5 on Friday Night and Game 6 on Sunday Night (If necessary)

    Beautiful:

What does this mean? Shaq dominance was greater than Hakeem's overall. Hakeem was better on both ends but does it compensate for Shaq's sheer dominance?

Peak Wade vs Peak TMac is close, but prime Wade vs prime TMac is easily Wade. Other than that 1 30 PER season, TMac TOP 5 PER seasons doesn't compare to Wade's TOP 5. Wades 6th best PER season is higher than TMacs 2nd best PER season. Also, Wade has had better playoff success. The answer is Prime Shaq vs Prime Hakeem easily.

Aight, lemme end this with a KO right now:

    Ryne Sandberg: 9282 PA | 4.05 fWAR/600 | 4.2 rWAR/600 PA
    Chase Utley: 5128 PA | 6.32 fWAR/600 PA | 6.26 rWAR/600 PA

Utley has 1/2 as many PAs right now...thats definitely whats hurting his HOF hopes, but he has been clearly more valuable than Sandberg in his career. If he can get another 2000 PA (3 full seasons) of 4.5+ WAR rate, then he >>> Sandbage

How can anyone say that Hakeem was better than Shaq. Hakeem in his primes was a Beast, but let's remember that his prime was MUCH shorter than Shaq's
