I'm really hoping Pineda pans out in the long run. If he can show his true form this coming year when he comes back from rehab, I feel like he'll be a solid contributor. I really look forward to him making some starts this coming year.
I wouldn't mind unloading the farm system for a guy like Stanton. If they're serious about lowering payroll then the farm system won't matter for the next several years (with the exception of maybe one or two untouchables). The free agent class in 2015 and beyond looks awesome and they'll have the flexibility to spend generously on such guys like Felix, Verlander, Kershaw, etc.
