Bob Klapisch of the Bergen Record was told by a source that Scott Boras approached the Yankees last month about whether they would consider bringing Rafael Soriano back on a one-year deal.
The request was "flatly denied," according to Klapisch.

Wasn't there a lot of people on here saying Chris Dickerson should be the rightfielder in 2013.

I guess Cashman took you all to school.

Considering Cash didn't want him in the first place, I'm sure that was an easy decision..

Good for Soriano, opting out of a lot of money and getting screwed

And everybody was saying he was going to get more than what the Yankees offered....

He may have to get a Ryan Madson screw job. Boras screwed his *** as well....Philly wanted him for 4/44 and Boras said no and then they ink Paps for $51 million. Madson then gets $8 million and TJ surgery...

It's not over yet. But clearly teams aren't a big fan of giving up picks for relievers.

Madson didn't turn down that deal with Philly. Ownership overruled Amaro for being an idiot.

I know some guys here are interested in trying to aquire Mike Morse.

    Well..

Buster Olney (@Buster_ESPN) tweeted at 0:10 PM on Tue, Jan 08, 2013:

Adam LaRoche is accepting the Nationals' two-year offer.

Presumably, the Nationals will at least follow up on their conversations with other teams about Mike Morse.

    B. Ca$htits,

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE trade for Morse (IF it won't require giving up a substantial amount of good, young talent)!!!
