we don't know which grandy we will get was it the mvp grandy or the one we saw in 12 and with the tigers. But i'd still take him over pagan and victorino combined.

I'd put the odds at 30/70 that Cano is back.

Dodgers will offer him 8/200 easily.

i'd match it, 39 year old cano still isn't the same as a 43 year old arod. I know we are scared from arods deal but it's still not the same.

The biggest knock on cano is he looks lazy and doesn't run out ground balls. Well manny was lazy to but didn't stop his *** from winning 2 rings smashing the ball out of the park. Heck you can be lazy all you want just be in the top 5 in WAR and be a top 3 second basemen for the next 8 years and i'll be happy.

Cano's laziness might help him stay healthier as he gets older. I guess thats a positive.

Look at Pedroia - 20 game missed last year, half the season missed in 2010. I'm sure some of that has to do with his all out style of play.

Cano has not played in 12 games over the last 6 years. Which is kind of insane.

Often times guys who play the game "the way it should be played" destroy their bodies. When's the last time a player who was always diving, running hard, playing all out.... well when has one lasted into their mid 30s with no real decline. The guys who play at 110% beat their body up more than those who play at 80% most of the time.

Taking in finacnial considerations neither pagan or victorino are viable options being that the primary goal is still under 189 or bust. Plus granderson will outproduce both players easily.
the 189 doesn't care about total money. It only cares about annual salary. So you can give guys 1 year deals from now until the end of time, but if you it adds up to more than 10 million a year, you aren't saving any money. And as you suggested, outfielders values are at a high right now. Also, Granderson did not outproduce Pagan.

I would put the odds that the Yankees will resign Cano at 90%. I just don't see them letting him walk. Truthfully I wish they would, NO PLAYER should get an 8 year deal at 31, especially for 20 million plus a season.

I wish the Yankees brass was a bit more forward thinking, it would be amazing to see him dealt mid season like the Red Sox did to Nomar in 04'. But I know it won't happen..

The Yankees to a certain degree. They wouldn't want the stadium to be a ghost town
Friend: I think the NBA payed off the Heat in the first yr because of the politics. They threw game four and they payed Lebron because they were angry with what he did. So he had pay one way or another.

F:There is no one in the draft coming out and trading players isn't going to happen. The Lakers are in trouble.

F: Vogel doesn't run that team. Shaw does. If he leaves they are going to suck and Vogel will get fired.

That's not going to happen. They are dead serious about the budget
