Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post reports that the deal includes a $14 million vesting option for 2015 if he reaches 120 games finished between 2013 and 2014. It's a stunning destination for Soriano, as the Nationals already have Drew Storen and Tyler Clippard in-house as late-game options. Of course, Soriano is represented by Scott Boras and his working relationship with Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo is pretty well established by now. Given the massive salary involved, it's safe to assume that Soriano will take over the closer role in Washington. For signing Soriano, the Nationals will give up their first-round pick in 2013 and the draft pool money that comes along with it. - Rotoworld
