A player like Sanchez is learning how to play the position better. I am not saying there is absolutely no development. But for some of these OF prospects, they are not going to "learn" how to hit .320 with 40 hr.
I think the problem we have is that it's hard to develop prospects in the majors on this team as the fans go overboard at any signs of failure. Most players aren't Buster Posey or Mike Trout. Most have struggles. And if we bring guys up too soon we're going to need to deal with the growing pains in NY. I'd like to see more integration of our younger players. But I do think it's difficult. Aside from Adams, I'm not sure which minor league player people think fits our team as we stand? I guess Dickerson, simply because we need another OFer and he's probably our best current option. But @ 30, he's not exactly what I'd call a prospect.
Hafner: 44 Games / 8 HRs / .360wOBA
Growing pains in NY are never going to go away. I see your point but that can't be used as an excuse. I know not every player is a Trout or Harper but player development can only do so much.
