Yankees Baseball Tonight has a new edition to it which makes each speaker "Be the GM"

Jack Curry made a trade with the Cleveland Indians to land Asdrubal Cabrera

Yankees acquire SS Asdrubal Cabrera & Indians acquire Nunez, Nova, Phelps

    1. ichiro Suzuki RF
    2. Derek Jeter DH
    3. Asdrubal Cabrera SS
    4. Robinson Cano 2B
    5. Mark Teixeira 1B
    6. Curtis Granderson RF
    7. Kevin Youkilis 3B
    8. Brett Gardner LF
    9. Austin Romine C

His rationale, the Indians make up 2/5 th of their rotation and get a SS replacement while the Yankees get Cabrera who fills in at Short for Jeter.

I would totally welcome something like this.

    For less than $3 million?

I wonder what George is doing up there after seeing his son not outbid a team for $3 million?

Nick Swisher is giving "serious consideration" to the four-year, $52MM offer from the Indians according to ESPN's Jim Bowden (on Twitter). The switch-hitting outfielder prefers the Dodgers, Angels, or Yankees though.

    Kubel:

    Pro: He can hit HRs.

Con: Doesn't hit for average, doesn't get on base at a high clip, frequently strikes out, isn't very good with the glove, bats LH and doesn't hit LH pitching very well, has a career .069 post-season average, and is owed 16M over the next two years

In other words, he's a LH version of Cody Ross

Someone said this was his last year. Ok, I'm off the bandwagon!

    One year deals only!

$8M per season for an outfielder is cheap. Especially one who will give you production. Yankee Stadium is a playhouse, his production would be better here. His OPS has gone up in his last 3 consecutive seasons, and he would be a good fallback option to stay within the $189M payroll next season. Gardner in center, Kubel in left. Lastly, 8 post season games? 3 against our pitching. Yea, not big of enough sample size for me to really judge. Depending on the price, I'm going for him.

Oh and Leo, how can you forget his face expressions after he strikes out or blunders in the outfield? They were just adorable!
