Having Mariano will not increase the wins from last year. Soriano performed Admirably as a replacement.

I really doubt Cano gets a 10 year deal and expect him to get a 6 or 7 year deal. With that length the Yanks should resign him.

I was thinking they'd probably want to move Kubel as well. I'm from Minnesota so I saw him at many Twins games. The guy is a solid lefty bat and in YS he could really have a shot to hit 40, he hit 30 last year. He has one year left on his contract, only 8.5 mil I think out of the 16 he got for the deal with Arizona.

I could see Cash making a deal for a prospect or two. Nothing too crazy though, haha.

When the hell will the Yankees call about Josh Willingham? I hate that he's a butcher in the field but I really feel like be fits the teams needs and wouldn't cost as much in a trade as some other guys out there. Do you think him playing in the relatively smaller Right Field in Yankee Stadium and being alongside Gardner can partially offset the lackluster defense?

Stop it. Let's stop with the straw man argument. Your own post has you trading Grandy, (our 2nd best remaining hitter), for an inferior one. And it involves 3 LH OFers. Kubel is a lousy version of Granderson. Same low BA, lousy K rate. At least Grandy can field and actually do something on the bases. Willingham is the guy that might fit.
