How was Babe Ruth not unanimous for the Baseball Hall of Fame?
And has any Baseball player ever been unanimous?

Nobody ever gets unanimously voted in because some voters prefer to use votes on guys they know will actually need them.
Nobody has ever been unanimous.
Not sure.. Ill get on my horse drawn buggy and go ask the voters.
Cal I think was one of the highest % ever.
I assume a few people that voted were not fans of Babes personal life? I don't know.
Some people felt that he wasn't good enough.
Someone liked the butterfinger candy bar more.

Tom Seaver has the highest percentage ever of hall of fame voting
Seaver has the highest percentage. Nobody will ever be unanimous because there are voters who think if Babe wasn't nobody should be. Just one of the many reasons all baseball writers over 60 suck.

because there were many stalwarts that didnt like the way he changed the game and conduct himself
nope, its kind of a rule to try to keep that from happening because ever since ruth wasnt a unanimous choice, that raises the question "if the goat isnt unanimous, who is?" and so a few voters will always vote against just to keep the tradition goingAnd has any Baseball player ever been unanimous?
Every time I look at Ruth's stat's I'm just floored. Things you'll NEVER see another player ever do. His Walk/SO ratio is almost cartoonish. His OBP and OPS...like seriously...13 years over 1.100, 7 years over 1.200+
Yet everyone forgets his pitching career. Some current ML pitcher would love to finish with Babe's numbers. 1221 Innings with a 2.21 ERA.
I've always wondered if he stayed in as a pitcher what his numbers would have been or if he start hitting sooner.

Hey! It'S JoeyBatS
Its crazy that he was such a great hitter, and such a great pitcher with Boston. I think what truly made him the GOAT, was that when he went to NYY, he was almost solely a batter. His hitting numbers were terrific in Boston, as were his pitching numbers...but when he went to the Yankees, and became primarily a hitter, his numbers became insane. I wonder, if the Yankees decided to use him as a pitcher too, if his batting numbers still could have been what they were, and his pitching numbers could have been consistent with those that he had in Boston. If that were the case, he would have indisputably been the greatest athlete of all time, and I doubt any player, in any sport ever, could have reached that status...I mean, think of Cy Young (highly regarded as the best pitcher of all time, and who Ruth had comparable stats to), and Babe Ruth the hitter (highly regarded as the best hitter of all time) combined into one player...outrageous.
