Plays a decent CF, has some speed, in a good year he has a pretty productive bat, lifetime .280 hitter. Alternatively we have Cowgill/Niewenheis/Baxter. Would I prefer that the Wilpons openned up the wallet and signed Bourne and Ross, you bet. Am I banking on that happenning? Only when I see pigs flying over my house. Nyjer could help and if he gets to crazy he just get going. Its not like he's gonna get much money, what 1 year 1 mil max.
