If Nyjer Morgan is the answer, then I can only imagine that the question is...
What baseball player is most likely to have his name mispronounced by a redneck?

Yes to Nyjer. Yes to Sizemore.
.. We have nothing to lose. No Major League outfielders currently for Opening Day.

Still A Better Umpire Than Angel Hernandez!!!
Maybe the Mets signing Njyer Morgan was the disaster the Mayans predicted for today.

Outspoken has-beens playing on bad teams generally don't work out well. He'd be a nightmare with the NYC media and a poor example for the youngsters in the clubhouse. I could envision Wright punching him out in the dugout by May.
Do it, he's brings solid defense and seems like a cool dude. I think Morgan would play well for Terry, and he'd give this team some grit.

Wasn't he the guy that when he was with the Nationals was playing CF so deep at Citi Field that Keith Hernandez said "If he played any deeper he could collect tolls on the Grand Central"????
At least I think it was him.
no way
I might be in the minority here, but I say why not to Nyger Morgan.
I don't think he is as bad a teammate as people make him out to be.
Is he bat **** crazy? Yes.
But, he is a decent ballplayer when he is playing well (he is a very streaky player), and if the cost is very cheap, then I say why not.
If he can duplicate his 2011 and 2009 seasons, he will be worth the crazy that he brings to the club house.
If he duplicates his 2012 and 2010 seasons, he will not be worth it, but it will be a low risk financially and I'd have to imagine it would only be a one year deal anyway.
So yeah...I am in favor of signing him to a very cheap, one year deal.
