Nice get by the super friends.

We have a very solid (that's the perfect word IMO) rotation. Nothing special however none of these guys are just dumps to throw out like we've been doing.

I want to go back and see if we can somehow reopen negotations with some of the other outfielders who were available this offseason.

We're an OFer, a 3b and some backup infielders away from being like an 87-win team.

But, but, the FO isn't doing anything to improve us and I want a signing NOW and I won't have anything to discuss in the thread, and, and.... WAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

This signing definitely helped speed up the rebuilding process.

Good signing. Might as well start getting for-real major leaguers on the roster now as opposed to waiting until some unknown date like I've seen advocated by some on various boards.

Cubs sign Edwin Jackson, four years/52 million

    Garza
    Shark
    Jackson
    Villanueva
    Baker/Feldman/Wood

Not a bad rotation to be quite honest

And then another good SP arm from breaking into "quite good" territory.

Lets give them a couple good minor league pitchers for Headley. Totally worth it if we are just going to go after a couple big FA pitchers in the next couple years.

Chicago Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Oregon Ducks!

Cubs will at least be competitive. If you have a starter who can give you 6 innings and a decent bullpen, then anything can happen. Don't have to rely on 9 runs a game to win.
Still a few players away from being contenders, but atleast we should compete in most games.

We don't have any good minor league pitchers.
