    Official Favorite Field Surface Thread

So I was talking to a friend of mine, and we started talking about MLB fields. He asked which was my favorite, to which I replied Fenway, because of that big green wall in leftfield. He rephrased his question. Which field surface is your favorite. I said mine was Bermuda long cut. He believes Kentucky blue grass is the best surface to play on. I believe KBC requires way to much water, and it climates with thin air tends to dry out more quickly than bermuda would. I dont know about you guys, but I couldn't stand playing on KBC when I was still playing, as my cleats always had little traction. My question for you...

    Which surface is your favorite?

    ???

Also enjoy Perinnial Ryegrass as well as Tall Fescue. A combination of the two is awesome in multisports fields, as its durable and stays alive during the winter months if you live in a particularly cold climate.

The Jays are considering replacing their turf surface. The new field would be natural grass with an infield made of compacted snow. Part of this post was a lie.....

Well if anybody prefers turf like Toronto's they are crazy. That field is so bad. I like to keep it old fashioned, as long as it's maintained well. I know there are places like Miami where its hard to keep grass green, so location matters. But ideally, I'd prefer a natural field.
