    Dodgers Interested in Bobby Parnell

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports says the Dodgers are looking for relief pitchers and are interested in Bobby Parnell.

“The Dodgers would prefer a left-hander, but many of their best choices appear to be right-handers — including [Joel] Hanrahan, [Chris] Perez and [Bobby] Parnell,” Heyman explains.

With the addition of Zack Greinke last week, Heyman says the Dodgers have made both Chris Capuano and Aaron Harang available via trade.

However, earlier this month, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York said Parnell was ‘virtual untouchable.’

Parnell earned $504,000 in 2012 and is eligible for arbitration for the first time this winter. He went 5-4 with a 2.49 ERA in 74 relief appearances in 2012.

As I just said before, I think we should trade Parnell for an outfielder. Just don't know who.

Pass on both Capuano and Harang. I rather bring back Young.

I don't get how Parnell can be untouchable.

I'm a fan, but he may very well be that player who's talent is so incredible that it raises his trade value far above his real game value.

If we are in full rebuild mode, I'd see what I could get for the guy. The "all in" teams this winter seem willing to pay any price for what they want.

    Don't worry. He's got this.

The problem is the Dodgers have nothing worthwhile to trade.

    Why no fit????

This is the same deal I thought of. We would probably have to add something.

Damn, you beat me to it. Just tell Magic Johnson that Parnell is the next Mariano Rivera.

Does anyone else buy Parnell as a long term option for closer of this team?

Unless we get back a great deal, just pass. He's one of the only good bullpeners we have, I don't want to trade him for an okay prospect.

    Yes.

Keep him. We are lacking in quality relief pitchers. Parnell should be even better this year.

Even though we are in full re-build mode, you don't trade him unless blown away.
