Article: R.A. Dickey pens bittersweet farewell to the team and city

God has blessed me in so many ways. His grace and mercy are at the center of my life. I may not pitch for the home team anymore (a friend told me I now have to start calling myself a Canuckleball pitcher ) but wherever I go from here — wherever I might wind up in the future — I hope you know that I will never forget my three years in New York, and never be able to adequately thank you for everything you’ve given me.

    Class act.

The whole article is a great read and something you rarely hear from an athlete.
Everyone should definitely give it a read.

    Thanks for posting!

Most Mets fans are pulling for the Jays 100% to win the series this year.

This is the kind of guy you are getting in RA - no matter what else happens one thing you can know for sure is that this dude is ALL IN. He's never going to show up to a game unprepared. He's never going to do down like a chump. He never says die.

You guys got yourself a heck of a player. If RA puts y'all over the top in route to a WS, I'll be very happy.
In reference to an exhibition game hosted by Under Armour in which Will Barton scored 72 points:

Classy move. Highlight was definitely "Canuckleball pitcher" tho imo, lol.

R.A. Dickey -- Fear the "Canuckleball"!

"AL East, you have been warned."

Probably not. Thirty would be more appropriate.

Will Dickey go down as a top 5 favourite Met of all time to Met fans?

I'd say part of it is also because most Mets fans don't like the Yankees.
