But about your post about the Angels, few things have to happen 1. A healthy Hanson 2. Blanton can provide atleast some quality innings 3. Wilson being consistent all season. Blanton signing was pretty bad, imo he may come in to pitch a few innings if a starter can't go a full 6 but a horrible contract.

Also i have a question for the Yankees rotation, when is Pineda expected back?

It's probably because of how bad Lincecum was last year which puts doubt into some people's mind.

Sounds like a similar case as Romero.

I realize this was done prior to two additional free agent signings, and I haven't yet read through the entire thread, but depending on whether or not Matt Garza is healthy enough to start the season, a case could be made to slot Edwin Jackson anywhere from 1-3.

Arodys Vizcaino might not see big league action until later in the year, possibly not even until around the trade deadline. Trey McNutt is spelled Carlos Villanueva.

And that's Mr. Samardzija to you, Jeffy.

At least you put the giants in the top 5 as have most posters on this board. Buster Olney put them at 9th! 9th!!! seriously!

Giants have have been #1 or #2 in MLB pitching in 3 of the last 4 years, they've won with their staff on the largest of stages with their pitching against the Texas Rangers & Detroit "triple crown" Tigers. Not to mention sending 3/5 of their staff to the allstar game in the last 2 years, one of the best if not the best 23 and younger starting pitcher, and 3 cy-young awards.

yep. he came unprepared. this year he'll bounce back, plus it's a contract year.

even with Tim's bad pitching, the team finished 7th in the MLB in pitching last year, (ahead of the Tigers).

Just ask the Reds/Cards/Tigers whether or not Tim could pitch... especially out of the pen, but he'll be back, no doubt.
