Yeah hopefully he responds well. Duhon and Morris have combined for the lowest pg production in the NBA... by a long shot this season.

I agree with everything you said, but this line really stands out. It has been pathetic. After New York, and now here, it's becoming obvious that D'Antoni's system cannot be successful without an elite-level pick and roll pg running it, an he seems to know it.

It doesn't appear that he has the ability to coach a player into that status either. Instead, D'Antoni seems to prefer the 'here it is, you either get it or you don't' approach. Nash was the perfect PG for him; an intelligent, athletic floor general.

I do believe Nash is the cog that turns the machine, but it's disheartening to know that our new coach is so dependent upon him.

I still think we need to get a pg just in case Nash goes down again. We do have some solid pieces to deal.

Hill has some value, is young and has a nice contract

Morris + Jamison + Clark + Sacre + Ebanks + DJO are all expiring deals. So maybe you can add a couple with Hill to make the money be around 5-6 mill or so. I think Jamison still has value too.

    Morris > Blake

Mitch has to work his magic and get a trade including Ebanks+Blake

Nash may return as soon as Saturday

Any news on how Nash looked at practice?

Nash looked good. He still says Saturday is a possibility but Tuesday is more likely.

He shouldn't play on Saturday imo... just wait till Tuesday, because we have the Nuggets the next night in Denver

Nashy!!! I cannot freaking wait. Good interview, I hope just comes back and not log too many minutes while building strength. He can take his time and help tremendously by simply being on the floor.

Oh Yes! It's, about, to go, down...

I don't know when Nash will be back, but the schedule the next few games is not favorable to bringing him along slowly.

Lakers play Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Four games in six days.
