D'antoni's New Rotation: MWP to remain as 6th man; Meeks to start? Kobe at SF?

Mike D'Antoni is considering starting Jodie Meeks. Really likes his play on both ends. He started 2nd half (Ebanks the first).

Since D'Antoni wants to leave MettaWP on the bench so he can play PF, D'Antoni doesn't mind starting Kobe/Meeks as the wings.

World Peace still played 36 minutes tonight. One adjustment at PF is taking bigger 4's off the dribble to make plays for teammates.

Kobe moving to small forward in D'Antoni's offense...

I had a feeling this was coming...

Expect Kobe's days as the Lakers' starting shooting guard to end. Jodie Meeks likely will be starting there now, with Kobe to small forward.

How many times is this man going to change his starting lineup? Get a set rotation.

With Pau coming back, I kind of understand it. I hope Metta responds well. Heck he still played 36 mins tonight. He'll always close games out.

Well, until we get everyone healthy, and until something works.

To be fair, he is learning the guys and trying to maximize everyone's abilities offensively and defensively and having the right combos out there. If he can do this while we still win ball games, I have no problem with it.

llullz, just realized that Kobe is going to go from the best SG in the league to the 4th best SF in the league overnight.

He just needs to make sure he keeps Pau in the starting lineup. Outside of Nash, Pau's our best fascilitator.

It kind of weakens our defense taking Metta out and allows the great 3's in the NBA to get comfortable and in rhythm. It obviously doesn't take much to let a guy like Durant or Melo get comfortable.

Don't like this. Meeks' energy and scoring off the bench was much needed.

plus kobe would have to spend some energy trying to cover those guys, in late game situations the rotations will be a little tricky.

Hmm... Won't this move weaken the bench and further burn Kobe and Metta to the ground?

So Gasol, Jamison, and MWP will lead the 2nd unit?
