Kevin Durant wanted to play for the Toronto Raptors as a young player growing up in Washington, D.C. "They were a new team when I was growing up, so I wanted to be a part of that," Durant said. Durant was a big fan of Vince Carter, who played for the Raptors from 1998-2004. "His enthusiasm he showed, just his athleticism, and how he brought Toronto from being one of the newer teams in the league to almost going to the finals,” Durant said. “He changed the culture there in Toronto." ******

The Tulsa 66ers, proud affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, announced Friday that they have acquired guard Rasual Butler. Drafted by the Miami Heat in 2002, Butler brings 11 years of NBA experience to Tulsa, averaging 8.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 23.4 minutes over his career. The La Salle University product has averaged over 10 points a game in three different seasons. InsideHoops

Interesting add, if he can work off the rust he could be brought up at the end of the year. He's long, serviceable defensively, and can really shoot. I still think Presti is probably out hunting for one bench player

Don't know how this was missed. Perk and his wife involved in an altercation at a nail salon.

Reminds me of elementary when you would either send one your boys to ask a girl to go out with you or just send the note that said "yes, no, maybe check one." I just want to know how people find a way to not like Westbrook, he is just a cool dude.

In the final weeks and days and hours leading into Howard's decision, the most consistent negative recruiting pitch rivals made to him about Houston centered on Harden. In presentations and private conversations to Howard, Harden had been sold as a bad teammate and selfish player, multiple sources told Yahoo! Sports. "He was told [Harden] would be another Kobe in his life," one source closely involved in the free-agent process told Yahoo! Sports. "It came from a lot of people, but never once from Dwight's mouth." Yahoo! Sports

I hope it happens during a playoff game with the Thunder, Harden vs Howard would be some funny ****.
