Deal close- process unaffected by Sanchez; would have been at same point in negocations with EJax regardless of Sanchez signing here... Heard Jackson has reached out to former Cubs and has received largely positive feedback...

yeah, if they get delgado and haren i personally think they probably go with only one of sanchez or jackson at that point. They'd want to give the MLB ready prospect a chance. But yes, that would have been a much stronger rotation, and possibly would have justified getting a bat on a one year deal like Youk at 3B or maybe a Swisher type. As it is with just Jackson you still have fungible types like Wood and Baker and Feldman filling two spots. Originally Posted by huff

I am not going to even look at what the beat writers are saying...however I would like this signing moreso than Sanchez or any other signing/trade for pitching except for Delgado.

saw on mlb network that if the rockies were to deal Tulo Ripken suggested Lynn+Shelby Miller (way undervalued in my opinion). I'd love for Tulo to man 3B for us and i'd be willing to pay a high price. If that trade scenario were true im sure we could offer either Shark/Garza + multiple specs most likely 2-3 pitching specs to get it done (shark being under more years of control and being a better pitcher than lynn)
