Francisco had surgery today for bone-spur in elbow

Closer Frank Francisco underwent surgery Tuesday in New York to remove a bone spur from his right elbow. Team doctor David Altchek performed the procedure. He should be cleared to throw in six weeks -- comfortably before spring training.

Francisco did not appear after Sept. 16 during the regular season because of what was labeled elbow tendinitis.

That would be a big mistake. Dickey is missing his PCL. The UCL is critical to a pitcher.

When a Rangers team doctor noticed Dickey's right arm hanging at an awkward angle on the cover of Baseball America, an evaluation was conducted to reveal that Dickey was missing the ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow.

Was the bone spur in his head? Would explain his performance and the reason I kept calling him a bone head!

See above - Dickey is missing his UCL.

The PCL is in the knee.

Dickey's knuckler causes PCL damage for hitters. His own PCL is quite fine thank you very much.
