If we can trade for Leonys Martin I say go for it... I'd consider offering Syndergaard if they'd make that deal. He's that great and he's MLB ready

When drafted, but the fact that he was traded for Eddie Kunz should tell you what his value was.

I'm not confident on Vaughn hit tool.

No sacrificing 2015 and beyond for a "meh" player in 2013.

The vision has to be long term. Next year is lost and I'm glad it is.

His swing is terrible. I never liked the pick to begin with. It was a wasted pick.

I understand he's offensively limited, but if we have him in CF, he's a gold glover. I also agree that his 2011 numbers are far more indicative of his abilities, and that's a guy I would sign up for any day. As long as he cost something that was more on the Mazzoni+ line, I'd be fine with him.

He would make having Duda out there tolerable, and he's cheap/under control. It would let us be sound up the middle, and then we can fill in LF/RF with boppers in FA next year. I'd be all aboard.
Why not just put Matt Den Decker in CF then. Den Decker would give you Gold Glove caliber defense right now

    Mets Top 20 Prospects List

Yeah, I think dD can put similar production to Bourjos and you do not have to give up anything.

Eddie Kunz jokes just don't pack the same wallop of a Nickeas joke anymore.

Outside of the hitch what's wrong with his swing?

When comparing den Dekker and Bourjos, you have to take into account that they are the same exact age. He's not as good defensively and he's probably going to K way more. I like den Dekker, but he needs to learn some plate discipline and stop striking out.

If we have a chance for Bourjos, I'd love to get him.
