Braves got Mark Teixeira, Ron Mahay
Rangers got Neftali Feliz, Elvis Andrus, Matt Harrison, Jarrod Saltalamachia.
Then the Braves traded Teixeira for Casey Kotchman, so basically Teixeira and all those prospects turned out to be no playoff appearance and Casey Kotchman![]()
As a Met fan, I can say the worst trade I lived through was in 2004 when the Mets traded Scott Kazmir for Víctor Zambrano and Bartolomé Fortunato. Now I know after 4 good seasons in Tampa Bay he didn't turn out that good, but at the time, people said that his value in the minors was so high that the Mets could have easily traded him for a superstar (like a Manny Ramirez at the time). He ended up getting the Mets two mediocre players that were beyond horrible.
I was surprised at the time too when Kazmir got traded for Zambrano.

1) a good trade is wher both teams get something good out the trade (in terms of talent)
2) A bad trade is where one team basically steals the other team's player without giving anything of value.
