congrats, I wish I could be in florida to see some games...it's that pesky work thing coupled with the money it takes to get back and forth from NE Penna to Clearwater...the commute is a *****!

i hate to say it but to me this is the first time in awhile im not dieing for baseball to start back up. Dont get me wrong i love the sport and love the phillies, but i just dont see the phillies as constructed now can make the playoffs.. I hope i am wrong but they did not do enough in the offseason and Atl and WASH did and they are better on paper than the phillies. i dont know how everyone else feels but i will root like hell for them and hope for the best

They have a reasonable shot at the postseason. They're middle of the pack in the NL right now, but a little positive luck and a surprise or two could easily push them to the 5th best record.

How many teams on paper at seasons start actually win? Giants, St. Louis, even 08 phillies. 09 Yankees are the only recent wire to wire winner. Guys need a good start. Won't be digging out of holes with strong atl and wash teams.

Harry, I grew up with the phillies and learned the game by your voice. You will always be missed but never forgotten. Though you are no longer with us, you'll never be "outta here" in our hearts!

Remember, they had a pretty strong start last year too.

I agree I don't see they as a championship team. But dam I love baseball.
So I will ever game as possible.
And we have a shot due to our pitching.

Are you sure? If I'm counting right...

    11-12 in April
    16-13 in May

That's 27-25. Is that really a strong start?

Thanks for the heads up, going to Tuesday's game against Detroit. I have about 40 tickets behind home plate in section 112. I have been going to Clearwater religiously for about 5 years. Go in March and August each year. I have about 105 poeple coming to Clearwater from NJ. Should be fun. I have only been to Lenny's once or twice but will try and check it out again. I prefer the Brown Boxer but cant complain about anywhere down there. Just happy to be off from work for about 12 days
