Funny how a city with two teams can produce such different fans. Mets fans being very classy, and Yankees fans being the total opposite.
Most people hate us...or at least they mock us. lol

I'm probably in the minority in thinking Yankee fans aren't too bad. Red Sox fans on the other hand...
I'll never forget when I went to the Yankees board last year (2011), and they were arguing that Granderson had a better year than Bautista and should win MVP. Despite not being true at all, they all thought Granderson was the best player that year, and no matter what you presented (facts wise), they were all convinced that he was the greatest thing since slice bread. It got to the point where, despite not actually having any facts to back up their claim, you just couldn't handle their ignorance anymore.
Simply put, I'm not a big fan of the Yankees, or their fans.
Although, you're certainly right in saying that Red Sox fans are brutal too.
Is that good enough.
To add to that. He ranks 21st in WAR out of catchers with atleast 300 plate appearances (28 catchers qualified), 20th in wRC+, 20th in wOBA. However, he does rank 1st in personality... so i guess that counts for something
No, it most certainly is not. I don't understand why so many people have difficulty understanding that, as of now, J.P. is below-average for a major league starting catcher.
I say that because anytime you have a catcher that can hit 25-30 Hr and drive in 65-80 RBI is not a bad thing to have.. Matt Weiters played about 42 more games then JPA last year and hit 23 hr and 83 RBI... I am sure JPA would have done the same if not better in those categories had he not gotten hurt. Weiters does get on base more due to walks and more hits. JPA needs to strikeout less and take a few pitches... Wieters had 60 walks last year to JPA 18... thats a huge difference... there averages are close.
Do you know how many arguments I've had with people over say.... Jeter's defense. "But... but.... the media says he's won a ****-ton of gold gloves, so he has to be good".
Yeah, there's homers in every fan base. I guess where I see Toronto fans being a bit different is their willingness to roll over and accept the words of the media which is mostly employed by the same company that owns the team. I think fans of the Red Sox and the Yankees are much more ready to criticize those organizations and stick to it than fans in Toronto. Fans in Toronto will voice their frustration with something, but then are easily convinced to change their minds after hearing lackluster propaganda.
