Giancarlo Stanton- Can we flip Noah and Flores as a starting centerpiece for Stanton?

I know the trade isn't complete yet but can we try to go after Giancarlo Stanton? A middle of the order of line-up of

    Wright
    Stanton
    Davis
    Travis d'Arnaud

...looks very tempting . Id offer Syndergarrd, Flores and Nimmo for Giancarlo, would you guys think, that might get it done? Cant wait for Nimmo to develop, because by the time he comes around, Wright will be past his prime. Maybe add a pitcher like Fulmer to make it work.

If Stanton continues playing the way he has, it's going to take much more than that.

Much rather wait until our guys fully develop and we can sign Stanton in the offseason in the future. The deal would need to start with d'Arnaud and Wheeler and/or Harvey.

We wouldn't get Stanton without giving up Wheeler/D'arnaud + Niese + Syndegard

Or maybe just D'Arnaud + Wheeler + Harvey + Niese

Consider what the Jays just traded for Dickey. Stanton is at least 2x as valuable.

I'm not comfortable trading within the division because if you trade the wrong people, you just ****ed yourself up.

Pretty much, not too mention, you would have to likely throw in Harvey and maybe Flores. There's no chance in hell Stanton gets traded this year, young power bats(superstars at that) are hard to come by and would require a minimum of two top 40 prospects; one young above average player, and a top 100 prospect. If you're going after a 24 y.o RF who's a shoe in to post .350 OBP/.520 SLG/30+ homers/+ fielding w/ 3+ years of team control, you better be willing to pay a premium. It'd be like trading for A-Rod in '98, it'd be too much to give up.

If only it was Stanton's choice...I'm sure he doesn't give a **** what Miami gets back, he just wants to get the hell out of there.

I'd rather just wait for Stanton to become a FA. Shell out 12 years $360M(inflation)

Might as well just give him partial control over the Mets...

On another note, if we could get Stanton for Montero; Nimno, Flores, Tapia, Fulmer, Urbina, and Cecchini, I'd do it and not look back. Marlins probably wouldn't take it though.
