I just read in Yahoo that this business of trading Thole for Buck is all speculation.

All of it is speculation---why was this not folded into the existing thread?

I read that because of different tax laws in TOR and the fact that it's possible that Dickey tries to sign a deal closer to market value, it could hold up the deal.

This would really piss me off. I'm hoping that in the end, Dickey realizes he has to sign the extension because of his age he'd really be risking a lot of money that he may never get a chance for again if he ends up having a down yr.

I would pay to go to Citi Field just to boo him if he denies the extension.

Well at least the Mets got the Blue Jays top prospect for Dickey. I wished they would have thrown in Raji Davis to help us in the outfield for at least the next couple of seasons.
