As most us know the catching position is a critical element towards attaining a WS.

Not that I'm saying we'd do anything differently, but it's funny to read the Blue Jays' fans posts now that TDA and Syndergaard are gone. Three days ago those two guys were untouchable, and now TDA is a walking corpse and Syndergaard is too far away to even project.

Yeah I know. When they were still "untouchable" they were going to be greater than sliced bread. I remember one of them said Syndergaard was their ace of the future.

But now TDA is an injury risk who may not pan out and Syndergaard is now seen as a BP arm.

But again, it's the "ex-girlfriend syndrome". Now that she's gone, I never liked her anyway.

Yeah, I agree the more from Toronto the better. But if we have to include someone to bring someone in, what's the point? Unless the additional prospects involved are both reclamation projects. Low risk high reward guys?

Well unfortunately that is how trading usually works...to get someone good, you have to give someone good.

People should no longer put untouchable labels on their best prospects.

No, look. It's Dickey and Thole for TDA, Syndergaard and Buck. Now, there are two additional pieces. One prospect from each side. I'm asking what the point of those prospects is. If the Jays want us to add someone, that makes sense. But then why would they add anyone? You see what I'm saying?

I did my excessive grinning a day ago when I found out Syndergaard was included in the deal. Now I'm just waiting for it to be finalized so I can get on with my life.

Wait, I think I figured it out.

The Blue Jays could reportedly add cash to the deal or another prospect to help offset Buck’s $6 million salary for 2013.

Maybe in order to offset the salary and get the Jays' prospect, they needed us to throw on in. That would make sense.

YEAH i HAVE TO SAY most Jay fans have been pretty consistant with their beliefs and feelings... most feel Mets win this trade. they are pretty understanding that they had to give to get CY winner. I think both teams get what they want here!!

.. of course there are a few(as in any forum) that I hate to say...I would love to see eat a large amount of Crow!!
