Why is there a 30 sec wait between reporting posts?

the sabermetrics forum has a bunch of spam in it, but why do I have to wait 30 secs to report a post?

I think it's because it creates a new thread in the mod forum every time we report a post. Without the wait someone could just go nuts reporting every thread in sight.

I thought it was annoying too but all we really need to do is mention the whole subforum has spam when you report it.

Because you don't need to report every single post. You really just need to use that to let us know its there and then we can get the rest.

It gets annoying when I see so many threads created because of reporting. All you have to say is "Spam in (insert forum here)". Then we'll handle it as fast as it can be handled.

But in all seriousness. Spamming the Mod-thread is likely the reason why there is a 30 second break between 'reports.'

I don't know this first hand, for obvious reasons, but that's just my 2 cents.

If i see one spammer made a bunch of threads, I just mention it in the reported post instead of reporting each post.

Exactly, no need to report each one if there are a bunch. Another option is to create a thread in here point us toward the outbreak.
