Eric Dickerson is a no brainer option. He's fast, an above avg fielder and completely ready to be a big leaguer. I don't understand why the Yankees can't manage to promote from within. What is up with this organization these days????

    Who that??

You can't possibly mean the record bearer for the NFL's single-season rushing record with 2,105 yards, set in 1984. He's 52 and has zero baseball experience.

I may be reaching here but do you mean "CHRIS" Dickerson??

    I know, couldn't resist.

    Dickerson sucks, get over it.

Some believe the Yankees are quietly interested in free agent outfielder Michael Bourn and will pounce if the price comes down. Bourn would give the Bombers the leadoff hitter they have wanted for some time. Meanwhile, the Rangers remain a possibility.

    Bourn stinks. Don't want.

Gardner and Itchy are better for cheap loot.

Vernon Wells the last 2 seasons against left handed pitching has not been that bad. If we could use Vernon Wells in Andruw Jones position from last year for as close to the league minimum as we can get (with the Angels willing to eat basically all of the contract this year and next) then I cant see an argument against Wells. He may suck at 21 mill but making 500K-1 mill and those splits vs RHP/LHP, add in Yankees Stadium I think this is a no brainer. Its not the platoon with Ichiro situation some people are making it out to be but it is almost like a giveaway and he can be useful for us.

Thing is the Ibanez, Chavez and A. Jones deals all worked out. If I remember right many people here weren't crazy about those signings. Who knows. It might be one of those change of scenery things. If Wells is given a chance to play everyday.
