    Greg Knapp...

I just found this interesting article on the http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...tor-greg-knapp and thought i should share it with the rest of the Nation since it pretty much just describes the way I've felt all year long about Knapp and goes to show you that were just shooting for false hopes in this guy....thoughts & comments?!?(sorry if this is not thread worthy, I'm not sure where else to post this at?)

You'll get heckled for citing Bleacher Report, but I read that last night and I agree. If Reggie is actually doing his homework, he will see that Knapp's history and his words don't mesh.

Knapp is not to blame and Jackson was no offensive guru,if we're going to blame Knapp then blame Allen because he picked Knapp for the type of offense he wanted to run. Knapp is not to blame for McFadden not getting yards or recievers running bad routes or dropping passes. This whole staff deserves at least another year or so to get their own players. It will be awhile before we rid this organization of Davis' mess!

Knapp isn't the answer Tarver on the other hand with the lack of talent on D should get another year. We clearly have more talent on the offensive side of the ball and Knapp fails to playcall in an inteligent manner. It isn't the offense its the guy calling the plays plain and simple.
And with the 3rd pick of the 2013 NFL draft the Oakland Raiders select Star Lotulelei defensive tackle Utah!

Yea i agree on giving Tarver another look but i just cant see our offense drastically improving unless we get ride of our current Knapp, I just hope DA and RM Realize it before its too late...

After watching press conference footage of Knapp and Tarver last week, I have to say - both seem very sharp, very comprehensive and very intelligent.

Why not try letting Al Saunders call a series or two? Let Palmer call plays at the line - whatever.

I have no doubt Knapp is a guy who can get a team prepared - I do, however, have very serious doubts about his ability to call plays in the heat of the moment.

blearcherreport... there are not enough facepalms, lol.

there should be a rule that anyone who starts a thread based off of a br article needs to specify in the thread title. you know, to warn people before they open a pointless and asinine thread.

    Normally.

In this case... I'd actually disagree. It was a well thought argument that had a lot of statistical analysis behind it - and I found very little to disagree with.

that's refreshing. i saw 'bleacherreport' and couldn't bring myself to open the link.

i'm kinda on the fence about knapp. i know he failed the first time (russell experiement) and this go-around, we're pretty much an expansion team with all the changes. aaaaaand there's the injuries. i dunno, give him another year??? :::ducks in fear of thrown rotten veggies:::

I'm hopeful that Knapp was a fill in until Allens first choice became available. I remember reports that other teams would not allow him to approach people in their organizations last year.

    Hope is all I got!

I think Al Saunders would get the same results,it really comes down to talent. My brothers and I were at the Cleveland game and asked ourselves who's jersey would you wanna buy and wear that has actually made a difference in this organization over the last 8-10 years and we all said .............Janikowsk and Lechler. We have had some low # 1 and Jano is the only one to still be here contributing, most aren't even in the NFL anymore. Woodsen left and actually got better.
