Hes definitely not who we should have drafted at that spot last year, thats for damn sure. He doesnt seem to have a very high ceiling either. I wasnt very happy with him or the Nimmo pick. Nimmo on the other hand has a lot more value if he can stay in CF, otherwise the kid is going to really need to develop some power if he has to move to LF. We just really need to do a much better job drafting. Year in and year out we do a poor job drafting.

BTW the Mets will likely have 5 top 100 prospects in BA's top 100 listing.

    d'Arnaud will rank 5-10
    Wheeler will rank 11-20
    Cecchini will rank 50-75
    Syndergaard will rank 60-80
    Nimmo will rank 80-100

I think Syn-Citi will rank higher than Gavin.

He might, but I think they both will be around the same area.

I don't know, I have a gut feeling that both Gavin and Nimmo will be around 100 give or take a position or two. Either they just make it or just miss it.

Cecchini is a given to be there because he is a SS, Nimmo will just make it imo.

I guess it's nice to argue about the 4th and 5th best prospect making it or not.

The fact that a guy like Flores would not make it is a travesty imo though.

Not sure why Cecchini is on that list. Very unspectacular player. I was very disappointed in that selection.

    So you're a pro-scout? Cool.

I did not like the selection at first instance but after reading his scouting reports he could be a solid 2b or ss with 10-15 HR's and 280-300 avg. Middle infielders like that don't grow on trees.
