    David Wright

How lucky are we to have David Wright as our cornerstone. A HUGE grand slam in the WBC. Top 10 player in MLB for sure

I love Wright but can probably name 10 hitters I'd rather have over him...

I think I'm most happy about the fact that they signed him long-term. A lot of the rookies in the organization seem like the types that can ultimately become identified as Mets players, but Wright is every bit the face of the franchise as everyone says.

It would be hard to stomach 2013 without having him on the roster...

    Our boy made us proud!
"Mr. Martin Tanner, Baritone, of Dayton, Ohio made his Town Hall debut last night. He came well prepared, but unfortunately his presentation was not up to contemporary professional standards. His voice lacks the range of tonal color necessary to make it consistently interesting. Full time consideration of another endeavor might be in order."

I read something on Metsblog about Wright being viewed by his teammates/coaches as being viewed as the captain of team USA.

    Captain America. Best nickname ever!!!

    He sucks.

Should have traded him, Alderson screwed the pooch on this one.
