2012-13 Dubs Debate #3: What are our weaknesses?

Nuff said! It's our only weak position. Ezeli has struggled a bit recently.

We should try and trade Biedrins or Jefferson and picks/Tyler for Gortat. Gortat is really unhappy in Phoenix and would be a great fit for us. He would provide us with insurance until Bogut comes back, or if he doesn't come back. If Bogut does return, he'll be on short minutes and Gortat would allow us the luxury of easing Bogut back into the mix. They could even play together at times.

Next years first and second rounders?? Or Jeremy Tyler... Or whatever way we can get him without giving up anybody we use... Haven't really thought it through that well

I dont have a problem with playing small at times (the key is at times). All teams play smallball in todays NBA.

Having Jack run the point and Curry the 2 is good because it allows curry to play off the ball. He is so good shooting off screens and at being a catch and shoot player. Gives the offense a whole other dynamic when Jack is in the game.

I agree. We saw how effective that combo can be at the end of games vs Miami. Curry and Thompson make great defensive teams freak out.

id like to get ezeli more minutes. he is a big time shot blocker and plays with confidence and poise. you can tell because when he gets an open dunk, he slams it with authority instead of an andris biedrins type standing dunk.

ezeli actually gets a lot of dunks blocked or stripped. he takes a long time to gather and throw it down

No great defenders
Fall in love with the perimeter sometimes
Other than Ezeli (atleast till bogut gets back) we dont have anyone who can really protect the rim at a high level.

Klay Thompson looks bad attacking the rim at times. I have noticed that on fastbreaks he is always out of control when trying to attack the basket.

Those are off the top of my head, I am interested to see what others think.

Klay hasn't figured out what he is good on at the fastbreak yet. Hint, it's the three point shot. Shoot in transition.

We don't let guys get to the rime, second in the league at preventing it, but they are 16 in the league at finishing.

Jack iso's way too much, especially when Curry is a better Isoer.

he's a good shooter, and he needs to keep shooting to get people to come out on him so he can get by them off the dribble.

After the first two weeks of the season he has been efficient as ****. You are cringing because you have memories of the first week. He has been great since then. Chill, dude.
