Cubs Mock Offseason Results

So now that all the mocks are done and voted on, here are the results.

The points were awarded as follows*:

1) Realistic, Long and Short Term Contender = 5 Points
2) Realistic, Long Term Contender = 3 points
3)Realistic, Short Term Contender = 2 points
4) Realistic, Not a Contender = 1 point
4) Not Realistic = 0 points

After tallying all the results we get:

First Place: CPorter07 with 39 total points
Second Place: C-Ross with 35 total points
Third Place: Poodski with 33 total points

Rest of the pack:

JBears: 17 points
Screwdriver: 17 points**
Cubsfan365: 16 points
ABE32: 12 points
SenorGato: 12 points

• The average number of votes were 18.8889 votes per mock, with the most votes going to SenorGato with 32 and the least votes going Cubsfan365 and CPorter07 with 14
• The most commented on mocks were SenorGato's and ABE32's with 33 posts each (as of the time of this post)
• Most "Realistic, Long and Short Term Contender" votes went to CPorter07 with 7
• Most "Realistic, Long Term Contender" votes went to C-Ross with 7
• Most "Realistic, Short Term Contender" votes went to Poodski with 10
• Most "Realistic, Not a Contender" votes went to JBears with 11
• Most "Not Realistic" votes went to SenorGato with 29
  

*I changed the scoring instead of the original rules, since I felt the Realistic, Long and Short term contender is more of a difference than the other options

**Screwdriver's mock did not contain a "Realistic, but not a contender" so I went and counted those votes based on the comments which said that they would have voted that way if the option was included.

If I could make a suggestion for next year (or next time you do these). Maybe not post whose mock you are voting for. Then once the voting is done you can tell us which mock belonged to which poster. Some people might have a bias towards some posters and so that might influence their vote. Just a thought.

A blind system is a really good idea. I like that. Nice suggestion.
