I wouldn't say eaisly. We have Kemp coming off a shoulder and CC coming off TJ. Our rotation is better, but we have to see who is healthy come April.

That's not a tough question at all. The Dodgers on paper are twice the team that the Angels are.

Pitching staffs:

1. Kershaw (Cy Young for what should've been 2 years running)
2. Grienke (Cy Young winner)
3. Beckett (great after acquisition, great pitcher if he's all there)
4. Lilly/Harang
5. Ryu

vs.

1. Weaver (great)
2. CJ Wilson (pretty good)
3. Hanson (alright)
4. Blanton (rubbish)
5. Richards (meh)

Lineup comparisons: Trout-Pujols-Hamilton-Morales-Trumbo vs. Kemp-Gonzalez-Ethier-Crawford-Ramirez, I would maybe take the Angels by a tad.

Overall, the pitching for Dodgers should win this argument every time. We've seen clubs get into the WS with a good offense, but when is the last time we've seen one win that didn't have very good pitching?

The lineup isn't really close, and Angels have a much better lineup. Gonzalez is overrated, Crawford is coming off injury and really hasn't been the same since he got his big contract. H-Ram is also pretty overrated the past few years. AJ Ellis and Mark Ellis are both decent but Ethier is overpaid.

Now that the dodgers added greinke and the angels added Hamilton who is the best and most complete team at the moment? Who takes the crown in LA?

Everyone picking the Dodgers because of SP is failing to realize that the Angels bullpen is better. I'd say the Angels have a better lineup, as well.

I think the Dodgers are a better team but this move by the Angels likely puts them into the playoffs next year although I am skeptical on their starting pitching. They pretty much eliminated Texas from contention with this move alone. Texas has gotten screwed here this offseason by both the LA teams lol. Unless they pull a rabbit out of the hat that is. The Angel's offense is going to be loaded in the middle of the order but the Dodgers certainly are not far behind in that category with Kemp,Gonzo,Hanley,Ethier in the middle of the order. I still think the Dodgers will upgrade the infield further with the surplus of pitching we have. When the best starters in Lohse and Sanchez sign, I think the trading market will start to move quickly and its obvious the Dodgers have a few starters they could trade for some decent players. The Dodgers are going to have a tougher road with the Giants obviously but on paper I think our starting pitching is superior to the Angels currently hands down. Though that doesn't necessarily mean we are a playoff team. Again, the Angels might have put themselves into the playoffs with this move and in the playoffs its a crapshoot anyways in the first round mainly. I doubt either LA team is done making moves though. Ill revisit this when all is said and done.
