What has happened to Michael Bourn's market? Could he sign a 1 yr deal to reassert some value for the next off season? If so, could RAJ be interested?

I think Ruben would be in if his price declines enough. The Mariners and Rangers still both appear to be excellent fits for him, and the Braves could still use an Ofer too, so I wouldn't count on prices falling enough for the Phillies to get involved.

It's a shame. While Ruben had the right idea when acquiring Revere, I would have preferred Worley, Bonilla, and Bourn to Revere and $15 million. But it's good that he reduced the team's future commitments.

There are a couple things worth noting here. His .306 BABIP in 2012 is probably much closer to his expected BABIP (probably ~.290) than his 2011 BABIP of .179. That's just silly. However, his peripherals suggest that his ERA should have been in the low to mid 3.00's in both 2011 and 2012, which gives us a fairly tight expectation.

Will Bourne be worth the #16 pick for a 1 yr contract?

No. If they're going to sign Bourn, they should look at a 3-5 year commitment. I would recommend the Phillies to get involved at 4/60, especially if they can defer some of the money like the Nationals did with Soriano.

Right. Plus given the small sample and his high K and fly ball rates, another abnormally low (not ludicrous like .179, but maybe .250ish) BABIP could lead to an excellent year for him.

At this point, I think it's just reporters needing something to say. If you look at Ruben's comments, he's really saying something to the effect of "we're considering all options"

Sign Kevin Milwood, and have another cheap veteran in the SP rotation. I've been having nightmares imagining Kendrick/Lannan anywhere in our rotation, and Milwood always throws a no hitter in my dreams. Please...

Harry, I grew up with the phillies and learned the game by your voice. You will always be missed but never forgotten. Though you are no longer with us, you'll never be "outta here" in our hearts!
