Dickey to the Angels just makes a lot of sense.

With all the money they just laid out for Hamilton, I doubt they want their last three spots in their rotation to be Hanson, Blanton and ???

But, how badly could the Rangers now want to keep Dickey away from the Angels after losing Hamilton to them? Maybe this is what Alderson has waited for?

Trumbo has yet to produce more than a 3 WAR. I think we need more than a Trumbo for Dickey straight up. I'd be greedy and go for a Trumbo and Bourjous or a Trumbo and Lindsay/Cahoun.

Sandy got us Wheeler for half a year of Beltran. I'm confident he will find a big time deal for a full year of Dickey making 5 million dollars.

True, but we need Trumbo or the other package as much as they need Dickey. Also w/ Trumbo, there's still upside, so it's a legit possibility that he becomes a .330+ OBP guy w/ 30HR's and .500+ SLG player since he's posted numbers not too far off from that. Not to mention 27 and under power bats that are 3+ away from FA are extremely difficult to acquire unless you offer a lot(see Upton). I think the best we can pull off for a Dickey/Trumbo deal, is Vernon Wells(assuming the Angels eat up half of his remaining salary) or maybe a Travis Witherspoon.
