Angels sign Josh Hamilton - Reportedly 5 year deal

Damn, not a good end to the negotiations for the Rangers. And the way things rapidly moved today. Very crazy.

Shouldn't be long before Swisher is signed

That is on the Rangers for thinking they can try and replace him and he would be there at the end if they fail.

Yes Hamilton gets 5 years/125 omfg!!!! Angels are beast!

Love him or hate him, call him overrated, a punk, chump, and whatever blasphemy you people speak, fact of the matter is there is no denying he's the best of his generation and will go down as a top 5 player ever...what he has done for the NBA is amazing he's the biggest name in basketball all around the world and his chase for number 6 continues! All that matters though to us Laker fans is #17! Lakersnation! #16to17

Glad to have him though I'm skeptical of the years and price. We still need another arm if we're going to challenge for the pennant

Wow. Anaheim snags the best free agent hitter 2 years in a row. They also steal a big free agent away from the Rangers again.

I get that everybody is super excited by signing Hamilton, but all he does is replace Hunter's production/value. When you realize how good Hunter was last year, it's just not much of an upgrade. It just keeps them from losing any ground going forward.

He's a great player but he doesn't make the Angels better than the Rangers. They still have no pitching.

Edit: So he got the Ryan Howard contract? Not a good sign haha.

Vic Mackey: You better figure out how much you hate me. And how you're going to deal with that. 'Cause I'm not going anywhere.

This sums up every sports interview, ever.

the starting pitching doesn't have to be that good. their bullpen looks incredible.
Madson, Frieri, Downs, Burnett. have the starters go 6, and you're good.

    they did sign, Joe Blanton.

wow, that's more than I expected, and what I expected was already an overpayment. I was thinking 5/100 range, 5/125 is disgusting.
