    Bo Knows...PSD

I watched the show on Bo Jackson last night with my son. He got so excited and wanted Bo back on the team, he's not that old Daddy, he told me. I have always been a huge Bo fan. Last night's show brought back the joyous memories of one of the most dynamic and inspiring athletes of all time. His attitude, love of the game(s) were an influence on many. Man, when he ran sideways along that wall in that BBall game, broke bats over his knee or head, gunned a guy down from the warning track, bowled over nearly anyone he decided to including one of my favorite college athletes, Bosworth (hated him in the pros/loved him at Oklahoma) out-ran almost everyone(especially the Seattle runs), jumped over the pile, wow!

When they showed the game when he got hurt  I remembered seeing it live and how I knew that it was a bad injury from the get. It rebroke my heart, my son even said "You Ok, Dad?"

To think of what that man, #34, could have done if he would have just went out of bounds a second before that tackle, is nearly unfathomable. I think he really could have been one of the very best to ever to play the game. I feel the same about Marcus and wish that his career would have been different with us. Marcus and Bo were the best and they were and ARE

OKAY... I'm retarded. I would rather be a retarded Jazz fan

Bo was phenominal, I couldn't wait till baseball season was over so he would join the Raiders, even with the 87,88,89 year of being less then impressive fro the Raiders, he made it worth while to watch the Raiders.

That 30 For 30 is incredible.

It's so unfortunate that his gift was taken away. An absolute incredible athlete.

Yeah that 30 for 30 was great.. But if he had stepped out of bounds it wouldn't have been a Bo Jackson move. As much as we all would have loved that and his career could have lasted longer the man lived for contact and I'm not goint to take that away. With his size and speed no doubt in my mind he would have been one of if not the best back in nfl history

Bo Jackson taught me to read. Ha ha. Honestly, I was having such a hard time with reading and English in college and even tho' I dropped out, I learned to read because of Bo. I had this one teacher who kept believing in me and trying to help me (they didn't know what "dyslexia" was back in that time, or test for it,) and so she thought if she could just get me to read, I would be ok. She asked me what interested me and one of the things I said was "Sports". So she found a book about Bo Jackson and got it for me. A paperback. The trick worked! I read it in no time, and brought the book back, asking if she had any more like that. She told me to keep it, and brought me some more. Funny thing is though, the Bo book is and always will be my favorite sports biography. He had this story in there about pig slaughter day that, bein' as I was part country girl myself, I well remembered the horrific nature of all that, and loved how matter of fact Bo was about it, yet also had a sense of humor about it. Anyway, even besides his athletic performance, I always saw him as a cool PERSON after that, and ya'll have him to thank, that you can even read what I type, 'cause if I had never started to read, I would not have been able to communicate by the written word. Thank you, Bo.
